Environmental Specialties International, Inc. (ESI) was founded in 1996 as a geosynthetics liner installation company specializing in municipal and hazardous waste landfill applications. Over the years, ESI has grown into one of the largest geosynthetics and plastic piping system supply and installation contractors in the nation. ESI is one of the Nation´s leading Specialty Liner and Piping Contractors, servicing multiple markets including Landfills, Energy and Petrochemicals, Federal and Municipal, and Industrial Manufacturing Industries. We have a large geographic reach across the entire Continental United States as well as some International sites.

In 2006, ESI created our Industrial Division, which services a specialized sector of the plastics industry. Our industrial crews supply and install HDPE Pipe and Liner systems at facilities within the industrial market such as petrochemical plants, refineries, municipal, pulp and paper, power plants and numerous other clients that benefit from the chemical resistance and longevity offered by utilizing plastic in their containment applications. The Industrial Division has expanded upon our company´s expertise and years of experience in the plastics construction industry, effectively adding value to the overall package of services offered by ESI. Our crews and sales staff have years of experience and industry knowledge of plastics applications. As a company, we have the resources to offer technical and design assistance customized to meet specific project needs.

Our Safety Beliefs

ESI management and employees are fully committed to maintaining a safe workplace on each and every project. ESI´s Corporate Health and Safety Program addresses safety issues that pertain to the type of work we perform and the hazards associated with the work environment. Our Corporate Health and Safety Program includes an orientation for new hires, a Drug and Alcohol Abuse Policy, a comprehensive Safety Plan, and a HazCom Plan. Our Health and Safety Program is designed to effectively utilize safety training skills such as jobsite audits, jobsite and equipment inspections, accident reporting, accident or incident investigation, drug testing and meticulous records of documentation.

The program gives field and shop supervisors an effective tool with specific guidelines to ensure that our work is safely performed while maintaining a secure environment for individuals. Our company´s safety guidelines have been successfully executed to protect the work environment of our employees, customers, vendors, and all others associated with the company.
