IFAI/GSE Article: The regulation of CCR in the United States: Geosynthetics and barriers

Justin Mascaro Industry News

GSE, an important material supplier to our industry and ESI, has written a terrific article on coal combustion residuals regulation that is a must read for those working in the industry. ESI is also prominently featured in the article because of our work with the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). What is not mentioned is all the amount of work we do in this industry. Today the power sector is now the largest market we serve.

ESI provides geosynthetic materials and installation for CCR containment. Whether for new cell construction or site closure, the materials we provide and install include HDPE/LLDPE and other geomembranes, geocomposite clay liners, geocomposites, geotextiles, HDPE piping systems and others. The list of power companies that ESI has served in the industry is too large to mention here but you can learn more about ESI’s work in this sector by clicking on this link.

We are proud that our work contributes to a cleaner and safer environment. Our country needs coal and we need to properly contain it, not unlike requirements in other industries.
